COVID Procedures: Now offering appointments via telemedicine!
As we age, our ability to heal gradually takes longer and longer.
But it doesn't have to be that way.
If you're suffering from back and joint pain, there are options to get to the root of the cause and get you set up to heal quickly and efficently.
Prolotherapy is a regenerative injection therapy that is used to stimulate the body to repair a painful area when the natural healing process needs a little assistance. Most chronic musculoskeletal pain is caused by injured ligaments and tendons that have not completely healed. Prolotherapy stimulates the body to heal, strengthen and rebuild weakened ligaments, tendons, and joints – even years after the initial injury- thereby greatly reducing or eliminating pain. Most conditions require 3-6 sessions every 4-6 weeks of prolotherapy. Some conditions respond with 1-2 visits, while chronic degenerative joints may need therapy for one to two years.
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)
PRP is an injection of concentrated platelets, which are activated and release an assortment of growth factors that stimulate the healing of tissues, including ligaments and tendons. PRP can help initiate and speed up your healing process to support tissue healing, restore blood flow, create new cell growth, and tissue regeneration.
Mesotherapy works to decrease pain in both chronic and acute conditions. Mesotherapy consists of a series of microinjections of collagen stimulating substances or medications into the dermis. There is enough evidence to support its use for pain management.
Nutrition is hugely important when treating any musculoskeletal condition. Your collagen is only as healthy as you are. We will look at your diet and optimize your nutrition with supplementation. Studies support the use of glucosamine and chondroitin for cartilage protection at 1500mg/1200mg respectively. Replacing NSAIDs with Turmeric and Fish oil can also be hugely beneficial for healing when used at the appropriate dosage and form for optimal absorption.
Ultrasound Guided Injections
Ultrasound-guided injections improve the safety and effectiveness of regenerative medicine treatments. Ultrasound can be used to facilitate the injections of anesthetics, anti-inflammatories, regenerative medicine treatments and other medications.
Ultrasound-guided injections are superior to “blind” injections because they improve the accuracy of the needle placement. This allows the physician to avoid painful or dangerous areas, or just direct the treatment to a very specific area.
In addition, the ultrasound allows the physician to inject structures that would not normally be possible to hit “blindly” such as nerves, bursa, fascial restrictions, and fluid collections. Ultrasound-guided procedures do not require anesthesia, and there is no radiation from the ultrasound machine.
Guided injections can be used for almost any minimally invasive procedure. One of the most common procedures is prolotherapy with platelet-rich plasma (PRP) which is used to reduce pain and restore mobility in soft tissues and joints and is especially effective for chronic tendon and ligament problems.
My experience was fantastic.
I had a super lovely experience.
I would highly recommend doctor Allison Schulz.
I had a problem with my legs for almost 4 years. I went to see doctor Allison and within 3 weeks, my issue was gone, I will definitely go back to doctor Schulz for medical issues.

I had another great appointment with Dr. Schulz!
I feel like she really works with you to get to the bottom of what is going on with your body. Also, the set up she has with the patient portal online which allows you to see your lab results is fantastic!

I truly enjoyed my appointment.

Even though the Dr. had been over-booked at my appointment time, she still seemed very concerned about my comfort & needs before, during, & after the appointment.
After being used to the Kaiser Permanente system for my health needs, it was so amazingly refreshing to experience a visit with Dr. Alison Schulz.
First, she made me feel very comfortable and relaxed in her presence. Dr. Shultz is a wealth of knowledge and I felt like the health issues I wished to address were given her complete care and attention. There was no rushed atmosphere at all and the time given was very sufficient in discussing each aspect of what was being addressed. It is a wonderful feeling to finally think that I have a doctor who truly cares and has the knowledge to treat me with the highest natural medicine available. After hearing so many good things about Dr. Schultz from a very good friend of mine who has been seeing her for 7 years, I am so thankful I stepped outside my comfort zone and made an appointment with her!

I really appreciated your open communication style and the time you took to create a treatment plan with me.
I felt genuinely heard and I'm excited to finally have new tools to manage (and hopefully solve) my health issues. Thank you for addressing all my questions!

I have never had a relationship with a doctor like I have with her.
Dr. Alison has been my doctor for about 7 years now. I have never had a relationship with a doctor like I have with her. The amount of attention and support she provides me is unheard of and has made a tremendous difference in my health and quality of life. Dr. Alison’s experience and knowledge always gives me peace of mind and she has given me my health back through some very difficult obstacles ranging from GI issues to thyroid disease and hormone imbalance. I never thought I could have a doctor that cares as much as her and that I can trust so much.
